Newcastle’s record incoming transfer fees

History of Newcastle’s record setting departures
Newcastle’s sale of Andy Carroll to Liverpool remains the club’s biggest outgoing. It was at least the fifth time Newcastle reset the British transfer record with a sale joining Len Shackleton in 1948, Peter Beardsley in 1987, Paul Gascoigne in 1988, and Andy Cole in 1995.
